The Federated HSA was proud to work with Stigma Free Glen Rock, its member schools, SEPAC and the Glen Rock School District as sponsors of the Glen Rock "Angst" documentary online screening and follow-up panel in the Spring of 2021.
The discussion of the panel of mental health experts (including 3 who are also Glen Rock Moms) was filled with useful information on anxiety in children and teens and practical suggestions on how to. cope with anxiety in the moment. It's a great resource for anyone who is struggling with anxiety in themselves or in their family.
A bio sheet of the panelists is attached below.
On April 15, 2021, Stigma Free Glen Rock also sponsored a panel discussing how to support teens with mental health issues in academic settings. Panelists included two students from the Glen Rock High School Mental Health Awareness Club, a parent, Dr. MacKay (Director of Glen Rock Special Services), and Councilwoman Unzaga. It was moderated by therapist and BOE member Kevin Brennan. This discussion is also a great resource for families who are struggling with how best to support their teens.
The link to the discussion will be provided when available.
